Will my formatting stay exactly the same?
Word → PDF keeps headings, bold/italic, lists, tables and images. PDF → Word focuses on getting the text out cleanly and editable — exact fonts, columns and complex layouts aren't guaranteed to carry over, since a PDF doesn't store "this is a paragraph" the way a .docx does.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Not for text extraction — a scanned page is just an image, with no text layer to read. PDF → Word will flag those pages instead of guessing.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No — both conversions run entirely in your browser using open-source libraries. Nothing leaves your device.
